Writing nursery rhyme parodies can seem deceptively simple - swap the odd word here and there, tinker with the characterisation and bingo! In fact, nursery rhymes are almost sacred to the English and you parody them at your peril. So I've tackled a couple more NRPs - the perennial favourites Humpty Dumpty and Mary Had A Little Lamb - but I am neither as prolix as Paul, who has a rapidly growing collection of Rude Nursery Rhymes, nor as cerebral as Max, who writes parodies of high-brow poems and the odd nursery rhyme parody to boot.
