Christmas Bells

The gentle bells of Christmas are tinkling all around,
Sweet electronic music, an irritating sound,
There's reindeers in the garden, a Santa ho-ho-ho's,
And animated Christmas elves dance on their tinselled toes.

A card from my old mother, it warbles, Silent Night,
And the toilet seat just chuckled low, it gave me quite a fright,
A train that tootles Jingle Bells, is chugging round the tree,
And the fairy lights play Xmas tunes, it's all too much for me.

And so I turn off all the power, and dump the batteries in the sea,
It'll be a dismal Christmas, but a merry one for me.
