I could spend a great deal of time and energy explaining the difference between a teacake, a muffin and a pikelet and then having a minor rant about the inappropriateness of using muffin in the muffin top analogy. If you don't know what a muffin top is, is probably simplest and easiest to skip the poem altogether.

When young women

It can look attractive
To the suitably disposed
But for those more ampler
Flesh spills over the top

To look like muffin tops
